I know when I had the 4.3 turbo desire, I could get a EFI vortech 4.3 with computer, for $1500.

sounds like a good deal.

well i'd have to change intakes, and distributor to make it work. i also heard i'd have to change cams, becuase fuel injected and carb cams are differeant in those. is this ture.. but either way, i guess it'd be worth it, i'm sure oen of you guys would buy it from me if i couldtn use it

ive never heard of the cams being different but i dont think even if they are that it would be a profile that you couldn't run with a carb. you should only have to change the intake and slap a carb on. you may still need a computer though as there are certain functions on even the earliest 4.3 that a CPU runs but the CPU should be cheap on EBay and you will even be able to sell your FI stuff there too!!

Good Luck
Josh

well, if you get rid of the elec distributor, and get signals to the few sensors you would need, then you should be alright without a CPU...never thought of that-IM DUMB!!

on the 350 thing, YOU NEED to DO it if you can man. do it right, do it once!!!

well of course I would, but, without a tranny or t-case. it wouldnt do me much good, but either way, i'd probably still trade it, long as the thing ran.
is it possible to switch bell housings on the 4 speed LUV, or does not disconnect from the tranny?

Hey red rock,

Im pretty sure the bell housing and case are one peice. As for the computer and sensors, Just take the sensors off and find some plugs so you dont have any holes in the block or replace them with aftermarket guages and sending units. The motor dose'nt care about them.
Hope this helps...

Dave
