hope you are planning on a 4spd, that's allot of cam but would be fun to drive, it would work with a auto ,with a good converter though.

Need more info
What gear
what size motor
What compression ratio
What kind of heads and what do they flow?
What kind of Trans/Stall speed
what is the weight of your vechicle
What is the duration @50?
where will the truck spend most of its time (street, strip, full racer)
Will the motor see spray?

A cam company's tech line should be asking you all of these questions (and more) before selling you a cam.

You can buy an "off the shelf" grind from jegs or other speed shop but its designed for a broad application and won't work to the potential of a grind customized for your specific setup.

Its also useless to over cam a motor. bigger is not always better.with cams. If the heads are small and the compression is low and cant suporrt that cam then the motor will be soggy and you will regret it every time a guy with a super whiz bang cheapo .480" lift hydraulic goes blowin' by you.

The first thing that comes to mind looking at your cam spec is that the duration is kinda short but then again im not sure what you're going to use it for. if its a drag motor then I'd say duration should be up in the 282-292-ish advertised. That grind would work good with a 9.5-11.5:1 compression, 2.02/1.60 valved head with about 200cc runners (Iron Darts), 2800-3500 stall automatic with 3.42-4.11 gears. 750-800 CFM carb on a dual plane RPM or Contender style intake on the street. Just my .02

1. Rear end gear will be 4.10 posi
2. 355 2 bolt
3. 9.7 to 1 2256 trw flattop 64cc chambers
4. 062 vortecs with mods for lift guide plates screw ins.
5. stall will be approx 2600-2800 always hard to be exact. Fresh/built th-350
6. The truck will weigh in at approx 2900?
7. Cam im looking at is 215/220 @.050
8. this will see some around town street use and will be driven to the race track on fridays and sundays.
9. I have all the parts to spray up to 200 hp. probably only put 150 on it.
10. high rise dual plane. This motor is mostly parts I had laying around It will have a 750 demon 1 7/8 hooker block huggers. I just bought a new house and cannot afford to finish the big motor right now, but this motor is within reach and will due for this season. I really need to get a motor in it and running. If it's running and im spending money on it thats ok, if it sits there dead with boxes of new parts stacked on it the wife says im spending money on junk.

Provided your heads flow the number to provide for that cam then I'd say its a decent choice for the rest of your setup. If it were me I'd stretch the duration a little bit more and go looser on the converter though... but thats just me.
