Will the engines out of the 81 and up LUV's and PUP's bolt into the 80?

well as far as i know.. the isuzu 1.9, 2.3, and possibly the 2.6 4 cylinder motors will bolt right on into the luv mounts

I have found a 1.9 out of a 83 PUP in my local junkyard. So I am assuming that this will bolt directly to my stock motor mounts and transmission.

now, on these 1.9, 2.3 and 2.6 engines, does it matter what years or the vehicles they came out of? my 1.8 is about to take a dump and I need to do a swap soon.

on the 1.9 no the year doesn't matter

on the 2.3 and the 2.6 it come down to how much work you want to do, the 2.6 is fuel injected so to make it work you'd have to swap in the wireing harness and the computer aswell, or put the intake of of a 2.3 on it and have a 2.6 carb'd motor. the 2.3 was carb'd but I do know that later on, around 93-95 Isuzu did make a EFI version of the 2.3. and and one more thing with the 2.6, the 94-97 versions have some sensors that the earlier models didn't have, and i also believe they were OB-I(not 100% sure on that, 800 could clarify this for ya) If you want more info do a search for 2.6, the topic has been gone over many a time
