Has anyone tried shorty headers from 82 - 92 Camaro? or shorty headers form a 88 - 95 Chevy pickup. I have a 350 in my 80 Luv, currently have manifolds but want to switch to headers. Looking for something cheaper then the Hooker headers.
Thanks

I used the Autofab mounts so I am pretty sure block huggers won't work. Might have to make a set. Somebody would make a fortune if they sold headers cheaper then the Hooker headers.

my block is an 84 and the headman's bolted right up and the engine dropped right in without a hitch.

I bought hooker block huggers way back when they were only $99/pair. I had the local exhaust shop weld on some extended collectors so they end parallel to the ground and make it a hell of a lot easier to uncork. I did the same with a pair of sanderson 1 3/4" huggers too. I wish i took some pics of it before i sold it to that chevytoyr kid up in LA.

the new motor required some bigger tube headers so i went with the Hedman Huslers 2" with stahl flange (s10 fenderwell exit)until i can get afford some custom stepped 2.125-2.250 primary headers I do have pictures of my hedmans I just need to upload them one of these days.

I may need to get a cheap set of block huggers off of ebay and try them. I don't think they will work with the Autofab mounts.

u just have to figure that huggers will dump in the center so look at the valve cover, and look at the exact middle of the valve cover and then look directly below that. If there is anything in the way sticking off the frame then it wont work. You have to remove all of the stock LUV motor mount for huggers to drop in so if the autofab mounts bolt to the stock LUV mounts then you're out of luck. huggers will work with hooker mounts for sure. does that makes sense?
