Ya the TH350 is the most popular, but I got a Super T-10 in mine.I guess it all depends on what you prefer. You could even go with a automatic overdrive if you dont put too hot of a motor in front of it.

Hey guys, I am new to this forum, my dad has had a LUV since I was born, and I just recently bought a 1980. I wanted to know if I put a SBC up front if there was any way of running a manual transmission, say a munsee, or hurst, ect. Thanks

Austin

i have a 4.3L and a 700r4...but i don't like the 700r4 because 1st gear is way to low! i'd like to have a th400 or a th350 with set of gear benders!!!! that would be awsome!
