I was driving my old luv at work the other day, (that's who I sold it to). Anyway, I was driving by all our shooting stations and picking up empty hulls and junk. I jump in the truck; start it up; put it in gear; let off the clutch and gas it up; . .and it just stopped. Didn't sputter, choke, clunk, grind, or break, just stopped, dead. I've done the electric igntion upgrade on this truck so you know, but I'm not sure if it's the control module, the coil (shouldn't be because it's a new Blaster 2), or the ignition switch. Or anything else. What do you guys think?

What does it do now, turn over and no fire or what? First thing I thought of was a battery cable. Could have pulled loose as the motor torqued when you started to move. It could be other wires though too, wire to the disti, starter solenoid wire, etc. If it won't spin over though, I'd start with cleaning the battery terminals and making sure you get a good connection.

You should also verify you have fuel. If the pump or pump relay decided to fail it might have just happened to run out of fuel in the carb as you hit the gas pedal. Check the site glass on the front of the carb and see if it shows anything in the bowl. Failing that, look down the carb barrel and cycle the linkage. The accelerator pump should squirt some gas down it.

I can hear the fuel pump run when I turn the key to "on." It cranks over, but won't fire, I've established that it is a spark related issue cause there's no juice going to the spark plugs.

I have had distributor problems. The lobes on the shaft wore out.
But you should go through the points and condenser and coil first.
