Hey guys i was wondering i got my motor in the truck but how do you fit some headers in there it must be a tight fit i havent bought them yet but i think i will use the hooker headers that are for the swap. If anybody has some pics that they could show me of how they did it it would be great or if any other headers work too like the s-10 ones or something thanks

If you go with the Hookers, don't let that motor get too comfy in there because they have to be installed AS you install the motor. Yes, it's a pain in the butt.

A few people are having luck with block hugger headers.

I'm sure more people will pipe up with ideas for you. If not, the Image Search button is your friend.

I'm using patriot block huggers, and they are available through Summit or Jegs.My motor is in there pretty low cause it has a dropped crossmember.Im assuming that you didn't modify your crossmember under the oil pan so you shouldn't have a problem with the Patriot's.Oh and they cost around $140 with gaskets, collectors, and bolts.

If you comb through the classifieds you should be able to find someone with a used set of hookers. I scored a set from Mike on here for $225, along with mounts and other goodies for cheap. Took me couple months to find someone, but they are out there!

block huggers drop right in.... provided you removed all of the stock motor mount material. i bought a set of Hooker block huggers ($99)a long time ago and had the exhaust shop chop off the collector and weld on an extended kind of a z shaped collector so it would end parallel to the ground. its easier to get to the collector bolts to drop the exhaust. I ended up selling the whole system to that ChevytoyR guy on here. I wish i took some pics of it but I'm terrible about that. I also did the same thing to a another set of big tube block huggers. its good for a mild to medium perf motor. anything high perf I'd go with the super comp LT headers or the Hedman fenderwells for S10
