Right now Im looking for a luv for a project, I thought it would be different to turbo charge the 4cyl..Does anyone know of any companies that make aftermarket parts for the 4cylinder? Is there a better tranny that would bolt up over stock? Thanks for the help, I hope I dont get flamed.

First, welcome to the site... Your chances of getting flamed here are danged slim...

No one makes a specific kit for the 1.8L Isuzu engine, it's gonna have to be a piece it together self-designed system I think. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on that will chime it...

There is not a true bolt in tranny as far as I know, but the earlier Isuzu 5 spd from a P'Up up to about '86 is a fairly simple bolt it (i think you have the get your driveshaft modded). Do a search for it and you'll find a couple of people who have done the swap. I don't know if it's that big of an upgrade as they seem to not take the power as well as the 4spd, but the extra gear would be real nice.

Was wondering if that's who you were talking about. He actually stopped by the other night. He lives about a block and a half away from me....

You can tell they don't salt the roads in Or. just by how many Luvs are still on the road up there. 8)
