i have been interested in doing a 350 swap in the spring... but i have been offered a 327 that needs a rebuild. prices are still being figured but i thought i would come here and gather some info before jumping into anything.

i know that the 327 is basically the same as the 350 but slight changes.. and a shorter stroke. but i would like to know more info about the engine and if it would be as easy to swap this into a luv as a 350.

any info is welcome

thank you
anthony

shouldnt be any diffrent than a 350 because they are both small blocks.... Now as for the transmission it may be diffrent depending on which transmission you use.

all smallblocks from the 262 to the 350 are the same externaly. the thing that makes the 400 different is it has bulges on the side of the block where the larger water jackets are. the 400 still has the same moounting as any other smallblock, thats just the changes it has. so some blockhuggers might not work with a 400. but thats doesnt concern you.

the 327 will be just another smallblock swap. smallblock is a smallblock.
