On certain buick V-6 motors, the oil pan must be worked to clear the engine crossmember. Does the SB Chevy motor need to be worked also? Or are there specific pans that will clear the crossmember?

I have the aftermarket Milodon 6-qt. pan and it misses the crossmember perfectly by 1". It's almost as if it were made for the truck.

i used to have a stock truck pan on mine and it also had about an inch or so. Now I have a polished alum. pan that is about the same size.

I have had 3 sb chevy Luv's over the years. One was bought for parts but running, the one I have now was a small block when I got it. And I had one I put a SB 400 in but sold the engine before I finished it. All had stock pans.
