You can also get them at a GM dealer for about the same cost.

I bought a Goodwrench 350 for my work van from the Chevy dealer for about $1400. Not the best motor they ever made, but mine has held up for 50,000 miles with no problems so far.

go to GM Performance parts or a place like Scoggin Dickey or check out National dragster magazine. there are a lot of places that sell gm crate motors in there

ive built mine up more than once as i learned about it. dollar for dollar a good crate would have been cheaper. $5500 at least into my motor. i'm glad I 'wasted' the time going through the motor, cause i knew nothing before, and just 4 months ago I tore my crap down completely, put it toghether and it fired off immediately, and was only a few degrees out. Thats the experience that a crate WONT give you.........

I imagine with a crate, youde get what you pay for, cheap price, cheap parts.
