Hey guys, Looked up the intake casting number on my truck's engine to see if it was actually a true 350. The casting number is 6263752. The site only listed 6263751. It's the only "6" number on the site. Can I assume it's generically right? The 6263751 is a genuine 350. 175 horsepower stock. Gonna have to change that

you can check mortec.com for casting numbers. I have that problem with a number of mine where it doesn't match things online.

Well, found my block casting number.. Turns out to be a '72-88 350.. Considering it was painted orange at one time, I can assume it's 72-75, right?

if your motor is out, you can look on the back lip of the block for the date casting and then you'll know for sure whatcha got for a year...

Definately check the numbers. Dont assume by the color. My brother sprays everything that damn orange color. Even his lawn tractor engine.
