I have a question and I hope you guys can answer it. I have a 75 LUV set up with Hooker motor mounts. Now can these mounts work a Big Block Chevy? Also what headers would work with this swap other than custom ones?

nothing will work! LOL it is a big block!!!
nah....just kidding.
RATNLUV put one in his luv. look for pictures in the projects part of the picture gallery.
He fabricated everything and cut out most of the firewall.

EKF - hey I see you post everywhere... bracket racing boards. SDMS. etc. You certainly get around the internet. Welcome to Luvtruck.com. The hooker mounts will work but if they are already welded in for a small block then you will probably have some waterpump to radiator clearance problems. imo they need to be moved back about 2" which will require some massaging of the firewall and redrilling of the trans adapter. as far as exhaust goes... your best bet is a set of custom fenderwell exit headers. If the truck has torsion bars still then its difficult to get a chassis header past them. if you put coilovers on the front and ditch the torsions then you might be able to get a set of BBC chevelle headers to work.. key word being "might". I know chevelle headers will work on an sbc if the torsions are gone. If its not a super high perf bbc then you can try a Sanderson block hugger header and bend the rest of the exhaust to go around the torsion bar. good luck.

Thanks, I have a little to much time this days. I have seen BBC LUV's in the past but did not pay attention. I have a SBC LUV set up, and I have a 10 sec BBC out of a 3600lbs street Chevelle, and want to mix the two but I might just take the simple route and stick a SBC back in it. I have another stock LUV, and I think I will do it from scratch to install a BBC in that one and it's a long bed also. Thanks again for the reply.

Yeah, I checked out the gallery and got some great ideas. I figured that if I have to cut the truck up, I would be better off cutting up another truck, and just putting the SBC back in this one since it is aready set up. I just got to wait till the SBC is done at the machine shop. Thanx for the reply.
