Are there any companies out there that make a shorter throw shifter for the 5spd trans?

Can't you just cut it down??

If you just chop the handle down you only sort of shorten the throw. Same amount of angle movement, but the stick is further from you. You end up having to reach farther just to get hold of the knob. I've never seen a kit, but I think it should be possible to lengthen the part of the shifter that sits in the trans and then raise the pivot point up by the same amount. I've seen several kits like that for Toyotas and such, but nothing so far for Isuzu. I keep meaning to tear apart a shifter, but the only problem I can see is if there is no way to raise the pivot, like if that part is built into the transmission case.
