I need to replace the connector that joins the waterpump and the hose on top and the plug that goes in the left hand side. I have the replacements, and the threads match, but I'm worried about leaks. Will regular plumbers nylon tape work?

there should be a rubber seal w/ the water pump, so you shouldn't have to worry about leaks.

Nope, just the standard cork gaskets, nothing for the connectors

Hmmmm, in that case i would recomend Teflon plumbers tape for the connectors
