does anyone have any pic on how to go by converting the stock torstion bar to coil over springs and what type of header can be use after the convertion

Luv4me had done that mod but he sold his truck before he could test it out. Do a search of his posts and you'll be able to see the pics. It looks clean enough to where i'd like to try that too. I just dont know if the frame/crossmember can hold up after time.

Just last weekend I was at the track and there was a 79-80 Luv with a big block and he was running around mid 5's spraying it with only a 275 shot. He had the coilovers in the front and he had also welded some sort of rod from the lower control arm up to the front frame section. He said this stabilizes the lower arm. I've also seen a couple of small block Luv's with coilovers and I believe they were running camaro type headers. It seems like a pretty straight forward deal if you can weld, it shouldn't be too difficult. I guess there are benefits like more room and you can run a less expensive header, but how does a pair of good coilovers compare with the Hooker headers (for a luv) as far as cost? :?
