Firstly thankyou for taking the time to read my post.

My name is Craig and I have a 1974 Luv ute.

I am currently repainting (coplete strip back to metal) and converting ther engine to a Gemini Isuzu motor until I can work out how to do the V8 conversion.

My problem is I live in Peth Western Australia and there aint a lot of luvs around.

There are however substantially ore Isuzu KB utilities here.

What i need to know is , firstly is it possible to convert a 74 model luv to disc brake front end and secondly what year model etc Isuzu will have the interchangeable parts. PArt numbers would be an invaluable help here.

Also if anyone has done a V8 or V8 swap in Australia with an aussie V8/V6 engine please please please email me and let me pick your brains.

My email is craig.wilson@joewhitemaltings.com.au or blueshermit@hotmail.com

Or you could let me know via LUVTruck.com

PLease god let there be someone out there to help me with my questions and let him have the patience to answer me.

Well 1st things 1st, WELCOME to the site!!! 2nd, there is a guy on this site, that is in Australia. I am sure he will read this post, and be in contact. 3rd, it is possible to swap to disc brakes in the front, and there is a section here that explains how to do the V8 swap, what you will need and part numbers for each part. So relaxe and wait for a few responses from some of the people here that will send you in the right direction :D :D :D P.S you might want to edit your title, unless somebody knows how to do a dick brake conv.

Thanks for pointing out that mistake.

I have the beer budget disk brake conversion stuff from this site but it doesnt get very specific on the donor models that the disc brakes can be pilferdd from.

are u implying me LUVNIT?

as for ur questionns craig, ive dont a disk conv on my 73 luv, i used the set up off an 80 luv i think it was. as for the v8 swap, i dont know much, depending on where your engine mounts are (i moved mine back to fit the gemini engine) if they are at the front, ya should be able to fit a 'fluffy' ie small v8 or a commo efi v6. its all up to you. my plan is to get a 2lt gemini engine and turbo it
