i just finished my rebuild and wanted to hook up a makeshift smog system w/ my weber carb.

i have a semi stock manifold (all the ports are there except the egr system)

the evaporation system and the pcv system are my main concerns.....
i need to know how to hook up the little valve cover vent , oil pan vent and the tank evaporation system.
are they suposed to get straight vacume? do i need a pcv valve to hook the valve cover vent to?
how do i hook the canister up without having a bowl vent?

i already have a breather cap and the large pcv tube from the valve cover hooked up to the air cleaner assby on the carb

most of the smog stuff hooks up to the intake manifold. its hard to find out where all the lines go cause theres not a real good diagram. best bet is to find someone on here that still has all their smog stuff. maybe they can take a pic.

I think the tank evap unit goes into the air cleaner not straight vac. The valve cover vent goes right down to one of the manifold ports on the inner side from the carb. I'll have to look at which one because I believe it is actually specific. The book mentions a sort of a PCV valve like device in the intake manifold.

i've got a spot to plug into but it's straight vac.

WOW........ i got the pcv system set up and it really seems to be running better. i got an obvious increase in power now that the pcv vac is regulated.

thank you for the help guys......i don't think this project could've been possible without all the help and encouragment i've gotten here.
