ok so I am finally gonna buy some stuff for the engine! But please help me so I get the right stuff the first time around!

I am getting the stuff from Jegs, unless you all have other suggestions

Radiator - I saw a post about someone getting a race one, Jegs part # 457-225135-H for $220, is this a good one or does anyone have other suggestions?
Fuel Cell - Should I get "drag race" or "circle track"? Should I get it with or without foam?
Headers - I am thinking the v8 hooker headers.

sorry I haven't gotten pics of it sanded up yet, I'll try and get those soon

thanks in advance for answering my stupid questions, hopefully I'll get it all ordered this weekend or the next :D

Radiator part number s/b 475-225135-H.

I personally would go with a different one. the one you've listed is pretty small, and has no filler neck. I'd go with the griffen 22"x19" lists online at jegs for $180.

headers good, cell...no idea.

In case you are wanting an aluminum fuel cell I will warn you that they are on back order from Summit or Jegs. Waited a month and a half for mine. They have the plastic ones in stock if you are going that rought. I bought Summits brand radiator that seems to be about the same as all the others in price.

I am getting a polyeurothane (sp?) fuel cell. Do you know anything about whether I need the foam for the fuel cell or not? I have no idea. lol

Its a good idea. It keeps airation down that might cause vapor lock(what happens when air gets trapped in a fuel line and wont let gas through). At least thats what I was told it does. For the cost I figured why not. What are you going to use for a pump and filter?

The stock Luv pump or the stock engine block mounted mechanical one? I think I read on the site that the stock Luv pump isnt sufficiant for a small block.

depends on the motor I guess. Jess you might want to test the one on the truck to see if it works. Its hard telling how long its been since it has been ran. If you end up getting a new pump a universal is cheaper than a replacement...alot.

I run the 16gal poly cell from Jegs, I went ahead and got the foam for mine, the only mistake I made is that I ordered the wrong cell.... I wanted the street cell with the sending unit for the fuel gauge, but instead I ordered the race cell with no sending unit.... I personally wouldnt get a race radiator due to the fact that there isnt a filler neck, but if you do, Jegs has a water neck with the filler built into it.... I dont use the hooker headers, but have heard mostly good remarks about them... I have Patriot Tight Tuck headers from Jegs, but I DO NOT recommend them with stock style motor mounts, as you have to chop the corners of the mounts off to get them to fit.....

I'm planning on using the stock fuel pump since I heard the engine ran before it was pulled.

thanks for the advice!

I actually meant to say test the pump to see if it works.

When I tested mine after I rewired the truck it ran for about 3 seconds and wouldnt run again at all. Now Ive got my old crusty and trusty Holley blue pump on it.

Sorry to hear about your run in with Summit. I had a fuel cell on back order for awhile at Summit, but when I called Jegs they couldnt get one any sooner. Guess it wasnt either of thier faults. Other than that , Ive had good dealings with both of them.

I appreciate that you guys have thought a lot on the fuel cell issue, but, why? Is there a benefit over the stock tank? That's what's in mine and the 350 purrs like a kitten..
