slapper bars work fine but the longer the better. you want the snubber to be as close to the front leaf spring eye as possible. At the drag strip I remove the rubber snubber and put in a bolt with a 1/2 gap between the bolt and the spring. it makes a little "BANG!!" noise when you hit the gas but that works like a charm and the truck launches like a mofo. I would also recommend a Cal Trac or similar traction bar for ANY street driven leaf spring car.

IF YOU WANT A SUPER CHEAP WAY I THINK IT WAS BEN THAT SAID HE BULT HIS OWN. IF I REMEMBER RIGHT IT WAS 2" SQUARE STOCK .190 THICK. THEN YOU CAN CUT THEM TO THE RIGHT LENGTH PUT A POLY SNUBBER ON THE END YOU WILL BE SET. 8)

Ya, that's what I'm using. I welded them to the bottom spring plate which seems to work the best. Mike Saiki is using almost the same setup too.
