I was thinking of swapping in a vr4 engine or 4.3 chevy vortec engine. I was wondering if there are any engine mounts for what I want to do. Also if I went with one of these engine what rear ends and driveshafts would I use? Im just seeing if anyone has done this and can speak from experience. Thanks for the help

engine mounts are pretty easy to make. don't think you're going to find any conversion parts made these days for a luv, you'll have to do it yourself or have a buddy do it

as for rear ends, something that'll hold up to a 4.3 would be a dana 44, ford 9" or toyota 8"

So say I use the vr4 engine and transmission. How would I go about finding a driveshaft that would be the right length. Maybe I should have just come out and asked what v6 swaps have been done. Im looking for a v6 that can be built stout for forced induction.

the drive shaft will have to be custom. i think mostly all luvs with engine swaps have custom drive shafts

Is there any shops out there you recommend me use?,...Thanks again

ya i would like to know more about this i wanted to get a 4.6 vortec motor and the 5spd from the s-10 and thow that in my luv but i didnt know if any body had done this before.
