I haven't finished tuning the bugs out of the V-8 motor yet and i'm already looking to upgrade my axle. What needs to be done to a 28 spline axle to make it posi? I put the trans in low gear and it would light the tires? (tire?). I can see myself getting all sideways in the rain with this setup.

i remember a post on here someplace about doing a ring and pinion set up for a 9" it was a link to a web site. that should give you enough info for replacing the carrier. i just found the web site saved in my favorites here it is. .ford-trucks.com-article/gears. sorry i don`t know how to post links i haven`t had time to check it out. so i don`t know how much help it will be.
