After installing a different rearend, what are you guys using for a driveshaft? Did you have to have one made or modify the stocker?
The 8.8 I just picked up will require a longer driveshaft. Help, I need some suggestions.

Contact a local driveshaft shop and they should be able to hook you up. I needed a different one after the V6 Conversion. I called a company close to me, they told me what measurements they need and what type of tranny was hooking to what type of rearend and the fabed one up in a day.

Yeah just find a good shop that can do that up for you. When I dropped the SBC in my LUV, I found a driveshaft of a Chevy Suburban, and also took in the original LUV driveshaft, and they made one from two. They also balanced it. I just gave them the measurement from the seal on the Turbo 350 transmission to the flat plate that the LUV rearend bolts to the driveshaft. Took them half a day to make.

Mine cost about $80 Canadian. I don't know what that converts to in US dollars.
