Does anybody know if it would be stronger to use the entire toyota frame with axles or use the original luv frame with the toyota axles.

the luv frame is boxed fornt to rear, so it would be real strong, so i would say just to keep it simple go withthe luv frame.

Provided the LUV frame isn't rusted out badly, it will be stronger than a lot of full size trucks much less the toyota frame. It doesn't take much to stick on some spring perches and you're likely to run into more trouble creating body mounts on the toyota frame for the luv body. Even if you have to weld on all the spring mounts, that is 4 in the front and 4 in the rear. There are 6 body mounts for the cab, and 8 or 10 for the bed. The math alone should give an idea of which is more work. ;)

toyota frames are also fully boxed. only problem is that it's really thin stuff, so it rusts rather easily.

i'd stick with the luv frame. not that hard to put toyota axles running gear under it if you know what you're doing
