3.8 is nice and very reliable!
you will most likely get 250k more out of it.
is it a 79 engine?
79's have taller ports in the heads than the 78's.
kenne belle makes an adjustible roller rocker shaft for it. Triiiiick!

its a 84, at least i hope b/c that is what the rebuild kit was for!!
i order it through PAW they seem to have alot of stuff for 3.8, and any other V-style eng for that matter, you should see this catalog they sent me! 1200 pages
im painting it right now
why does GM blue look so much like ford blue?

won't a edelbrock performer intake fit the 4.1?
the hood will clear with a performer intake....you have to use a low air cleaner though.

well not realy. still havent realy decided. but right now im thinking deep midnight blue w/ that color ghost flames
btw thats just GM blue i wanted chevy orange but they was out. oh well its a buick anyway

I'm trying!!!! 2 more to go Man, I left town last week and you guys left me in the dust on the post count! Also don't know if I read that right but my manifold is stock (early in the post). I looked into getting a better one but it is hard to find one for an odd fire motor and when I did they were for a 4 barrel and then my hood won't shut Keep us posted on the install!! Bringing back memories of 10 years ago for me when I did mine. The best advice I can offer is to not to forget to change the torque converter seal!!! I didn't do mine and the puddle on the floor reminds me quite often.
