Dont need to strengthen the front end, its a boxed steel frame. Front suspension will be fine. Will drop a bit, but not break.

do what all of the hot rodders do. they take the front end off, and put on a mustang II front end. lokk in custom classic trucks to see what they do.

Not likely, since the frame is a 2X4 boxed frame they are exceptionally stout, I mean you cold ask any of the Big block guys and those who still have a stock frame could tell you, not to mention if you look at some of the videos you can see the beating the frames will take. Just my two pennies.

yea they are strong frames. just make sure its not rusted out. i found out that whoever had mine before me didn't wash out the frame after off roading, so wet mud stayed in the frame. it rusted out a couple of areas. never had any problems with it until the leaf spring bracket broke out of the frame. then i started looking at the frame and noticed it had some cracks in it. so even with cracks and the leaf spring bracket broke out the frame was still holding together. now i have most of the back part of the frame plated with 1/4 metal on both sides. just noticed a crack in the front part of the frame about a month ago. i welded up the crack temporarily but will plate it later. probably pull the cab off and do the whole frame. so now that i've wrote this long post i'll get back to the point. the frames are tough just watch out for major rust.

The factory is plenty strong enough. I have changed to a Mustang ll but it was for clearance reasons and also allows bigger brakes and calipers, and rack and pinion steering as a bonus.
If you get rid of the torsion bars about any Camaro type header will work.
With mine I had no choice to get the headers to fit the bars had to go and I feel like the work was worth it. Mine drives great and I have 11" Camaro rotors, calipers and a great choise of bolt in coil over kits for a later upgrade.
