I was wondering if any one has used the auto fab 350 mounts? If so can you use headers that are cheaper then the ones made by hooker for the luv? I saw some where on this site someone had some custom motor mounts that bolt up to the stock mountes on the luv. I would purchase a set of these mounts If there is any out there! I'm ready to get started and don't want to spend a mint! Rusty

Hey Bryan where did you get your motor mounts? do they just bolt up to the old mount plate with 2 bolts? how have they held up? as far as height of the engine is that a problem? Thanks.

I origanally had Advanced Adapters, but wasnt really happy with them and fabricated a set, my set is based on theres but with several changes that allowed me more clearance for headers. It a solid mount. The 2 bolts you see in the photos are grade 8's. I would recommend welding the mounts to the existing mounts. You will still be able to remove the engine from the Moroso engine mounts that bolt to my setup. It uses Sanderson Shorty style headers, and will require a mini starter. Please feel fre to email or ppm me. Bryan

Although Advance adapters and Autofab both have good reputations, I perfer the Hooker mounts. they are by far the most widely used conversion kit. I have used them on 4 LUV trucks and a 240Z. I use the Sanderson 1 3/4" block Hugger headers but use a stock starter. You may also want to check Don Hardy's Race cars. I think they make them along with kits for the S10
