i might be buying another luv. its a yellow 2wd with a stepside bed. i think its a 1980. i haven't seen it in about 3 years. it ran about 6 years ago, and when i last saw it, it was pretty rusty, but nothing a little work can't fix, its been in a closed in storage building for about 3 years. i think it would be a good candidate for a 350 v8 swap. i have a 350 that needs rebuilding and a turbo 350 trans thats in good shape. so all i need to do is rebuild the motor and put it in. this will be my third luv, counting my parts truck. i can feel the sickness taking over inside me, all i want is more luvs :D

yep its in my veins, people just don't understand. they ask why don't i spend my money on another vehicle. and my answer is that another vehicle is not a luv. there is just something about owning a luv, pride, joy, and fun.

So if I have a daily driver van that needs an oil change and my wifes car that needs brakes realy bad and instead I spend my work bonus check on a chome alternator and dash cap for the Luv, do I have a sickness? And if I sold my Trans Am project that I said I would never sell to buy my second Luv, do I have a sickness? Oh, and if I sneak money out of my regular pay check every week to save up for Luv parts, do I have a sickness? And if I bought a welder for the sole purpose of welding some patches on the Luv, do I have a sickness? And is this post starting to sound like a "you might be a redneck" joke?

i'm glad to here i'm not the only one, too bad my friend didn't catch on to the sickness, he just sold his 80 4x4 luv. i hated to see it go, if i had the money i would have bought it from him. now i don't have anyone to go offroading with. , but i have another friend whos fixing up a jeep, so looks like my luv will be teaming up with a jeep from now on. :D

Well I have one in my back yard that I have started on. I am pissed off because the distributors are different, and I can't swap the electronic with the dual point. Grrrr. So I have to rebuild the dual point.

But I am going this weekend to get my second LUV. It is a 76. So In the Spirit of things  I think I will be set with projects for a while.

So what does it take to end the sickness? I was thinking of getting a 4wd Luv after my 2wd is rolling. I was hoping that would do it.
