I recently acquired a 97 suburban to pull the motor and trans from. I'm going to use the EFI with a different computer. I would like to use the accessory brackets so I can convert to power steering also. How much of the front cross member will I need to cut to make it fit? Or should I try another setup?

It should fit fine. powerbyace.com has mounts. Although I made my own its not that hard. I have hooker headers for mine made just for a Luv but I have heard others fit if you replace the torsion bars with coil overs.

I don't think the serpentine set up will fit. Even if you eliminate the power steering pump and use an idler pulley there I think it will hit the steering box...

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure. I'm finishing another project right now, so i wont be able to get to this till next summer maybe. I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row before I start. I hope to have the wiring sorted out and a new rear end ready when the time comes to save on down time.
