Hey there folks,
It''s been quite a while since I got on here. Not much has happened with my 76 LUV project, too much other stuff been going on.
I've got involved pretty heavily with 'Off-Road' racing & been navigator in a highly modified series 3 Landrover that sits on a D1 Discovery chassis & runs a 5.7 litre LS1,,,, she's full race spec and goes like a cut snake
Anyway, since starting this off road racing I've been toying with the idea of building an extreme off road 4x4 race car with my LUV.
I got hold of a 1990 V8 Landrover Discovery 2 door as a parts car & curiosity got the better of me. I measured the wheelbase & track width,,, surprisingly it's very close to the LUV.
What's your thoughts on building a wild race truck on a Discovery chassis, LS1 & LUV body?

Has anyone done this before?

I might just hold out on any wild plans at this stage. I've got the 4ZD1 engine that was built up for the LUV still sitting here that owes me quite a lot. Plus the FX Holden project laying dormant.
I should really concentrate on finishing the FX before taking on any more :/
