I have a 1975 luv that I just bought a new weber 32/36 for. I bolted it on and the truck doesn't want to idle and when you rev it up and let off the throttle it back fires out of the carb. I haven't plugged any lines or installed a fuel regulator because I'm not sure which ones to plug and if the regulator is necessary.

I didn't need a regulator with mine..

Have you gone thru the tuning procedure yet?

I've messed with it. I had the idle screw all the way out at one point and when you let off the throttle and the rpms die down it dies. Did you block off all the little lines that went to the stock air cleaner?

Yeah pretty much. Only the ones that go to the canister on the firewall were left since they are crankcase vents, Smog pump was removed egr was blocked off etc.. basically just had what it needed to run. I did run a fuel return too. I had to get a longer piece of hose to extend the stock return line to the other side and get a fitting for the carb

I was wondering if I could remove the smog pump and egr but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pass deq. And I'll have to look for the canister because I'm not sure what it is.

Are you in california??? If so don't mess with any of it.
I don't have to do emissions on mine so I was able to toss it all out

Oregon. And I forgot to say I have a universal fuel pump that pushes from 3-7 psi that's why I was wondering about the regulator.

I think that is the range of the stock pump too
I would leave it on there if you get tested.

I hooked up my return line to a new fuel filter, since I needed one anyway. Looks like this one.
