Hello. Yes the 2.8 is a crappy motor. But I have one with all comp cams components, holley 4 barrel carb and other goodies, and want to put it into my bagged and bodied 74 Luv.

My question is has anyone on here done this before? And what was done for motor mounts. I'm guessing they need to be made???

Not been done by anyone on here I've seen.

Yes you'd need custom mounts. The only ones that are manufactured by vendors are the 4.3 and the sbcs. You'll also need custom exhaust. The torsion bar suspension is a pain to get around.

Not a lot of 2.8 fans on here. Not surprising that 20 people didn't reply to say they didn't know what you need to do.

Thank you drummer. I will look into that. custom exhaust is easy so is the torsion bar thing. My good friend owns and built the "Junk Yard Jewel" for mini truckin. He eliminated the torsion bars. I was was just wondering if the whole motor mount issue was easier. As well as if anyone has done it. I KNOW I KNOW most people will always say 2.8 is junk. But like I said I have a fully rebuilt one with all comp cams internals. It was for my body dropped blazer, which I lost interest on LOL.
