If your truck is a 4x4 and you intend to use the stock engine/tranny/t-case the Toyota axle is by far the best choice- it's 55.5" wide, driver's side drop, has 6-bolt hubs & usually has 4.10 gears so you can retain your stock rear and wheels. If your truck is a 2wd then use whatever you can find. Your stock rear is 54", anything but a Toyota or an early CJ will be several inches wider & probably won't have 4.10 gears, may have a different lug bolt pattern.
