Installing SBC 350 with TH350 using Hooker mounts and transmission mount.
Motor mounts installed but transmission mount needs to have motor/transmission to slide back 1/4" to 1/2"
Firewall transmission tunnel tight - thought no modification was necessary.
Thinking about lifting body a bit.
Two front bolts by radiator, two bolts under cab & two bolts under bed? Is this all?
What do I need to be aware of doing this?
Steering column ok?

On my 4x4 luv that was lifted I think I had to use spacers to lift the bed to keep it all looking the same. It was a kit that came as a whole assembly. Body mounts, bed mounts etc. That is all I remember since it was almost 25 years ago.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

PapaG, we are going to find some spacers for the cab & bed as well. Not lifted much.

2inch and 3inch were the most popular. The 4x4 trucks had ifs on them, so a body lift was the way to go. I had a custom front bumper so the lift did not effect that. I think we just moved the rear bumper with some channel and plate. No one made anything for these trucks like the new ifs Chevys 4x4 trucks. We could build the same for our trucks now that we see how it is done. But a lot of people just go soa and use Toyota or Jeep axles

If you only move up 1" it might look ok like that, if not you should not need much work to move the bumpers up too. With the 3" lift you were working at the limit of the 4 wheel range shifter and the tranny shifter. The 3 " may have came with extensions for the transfer gearbox and shift rod. You won't have to worry about any of that with your build.

Not that you need to hear the life story of luv 4x4 on your truck, :esurprised
