I have a 1980 with the factory 1.8l. I am looking at this radiator unless there is one better recommended:

Will this radiator be fine with the factory fan and also does anyone have any good pictures of one installed?

Why not just get your factory one rodded? A lot of people run a 19x22 radiator, myself included but we have sbc swapped in place of the 4 banger. You'll have to cut out some metal for it to fit

The radiator I have will run $270 to get rebuilt. I plan on making this truck a daily and would like to use it for some trips as well so I want to maximize cooling. I don't mind doing some cutting, I work with metal often.

How will it mount? The stock rad has side flanges that bolt to the fan side of the supports, the one you have chosen probably fits into a padded channel.

Alright this can be deleted. I did some research. I am going to go with a Griffen 1-26182-XS radiator and will cut as little as possible. I plan on welding a channel on the bottom that is rubber lined and make a bolt in channel up top that will hug the radiator. Should provide plenty of cooling and get this thing where I need it to be. Head has been overhauled, all new gaskets, next is the radiator and weber carb.

check out my build thread I installed a 19x22 rad by widening the channels beside the radiator to fit it and make it look semi stock with a c channel under the radiator and tabs near the top to hold it in
