Wondering what you guys with v8s in your luvs are using for your exhaust, have the 350 in my truck, it looks like some rear dump ramhorns will work, but I would rather have headers.

I have the hooker headers that are made for the LUV/small block combo.

I have the old ramhorn manifolds now but have a set of block huggers to put on when I put in my new motor.

I'm guessing 1 3/4" tops with 2 glass packs right now. When the headers go on they will be 2" into flowmasters.

What engine mounts will you be running? If you run power by ace mounts you will need his headers, if you run hooker mounts you will need their headers. I made my own mounts and was able to fit the Hooker Headers in there. My engine is set back a bit more then most and it's lower then most.

I'm not sure yet. Are the hooker mounts better? The power by ace ones seem a little flimsy to hold up to the weight and power of a v8, but I like how they bolt right in.

I have this set up installed now, and it seems ok to me...

I used the power by ace mounts in mine. They are a lot tougher than they look. They are also slotted so you can move them about a half inch back and forth. This makes getting the engine in place a lot easier. I liked them. I can't say they're better or worse than the hookers though.

Mytmouz has my old truck. Maybe he can weigh in on what he thinks of the setup.

I have used block huggers (Hooker) with fabbed mounts and the Hooker system on my current truck . The only down fall to the Hooker stuff is the slip joint . I made a flange for mine which works great ,

I know for a fact they will not. The mounts are in the way. Bad. If you're going to use the power by ace mounts, your only option for headers are the power by ace headers. You might be able to make some rear dump manifolds work.

I used the Hooker headers also. They have gone up quite a bit in price since I bought my set though!
I run 2 inch pipe all the way to Corvair Turbo mufflers. Sounds good. They are quiet until you put the metal down then they are flow thru and a bit loud.
