Hello

I am 95% sure this will work, but I might be able to pick up a rebuilt 1.9L Isuzu G200 out of a 1984 chevy S10 for free or near free. That engine will fit in my 1980 Luv 4x4 right? I am pretty sure it will, looks like the same motor. Oil pan, timing over will fit right? I am a bit new to Chevy luvs, but I have been doing research.

So far I have put the pertronix ignitor and coil, a weber 32/36, and a big custom K&N air filter on my luv, and it is running great. I picked it up with only a few months on the rebuilt engine, was a basic ring and bearing rebuild. I got 23mpg in August(before ignitor and air filter) driving to Burning Man from Oregon, with the bed full of camping gear for two people for 10 days.

Happy holidays!

Yes, it will fit, providing you swap the oil pan...

Perfect, wonderful! Thank you!

It is a project that a guy did not finish, will need a thicker head gasket though due to the head and block being milled some. Bored .030 over.

Check with rockauto.com, they list two different brands of head gasket shims for this engine that are made to correct overmilling.
