my stock motor in my 76 luv g180....will it bolt up to my buddies 84 s10 with a 4 speed that came with 1.9 liter Isuzu motor? thanks guys

Yep. Basically the same engine. Why would you want to down size?

I'm going to small blocking my luv and my motor runs good and his blew up so he wanted to just put mine in his s10 and correct me if I'm wrong but it's only a 2 hp difference right?

It probably isnt a big difference in power. Idk if the 84 had electronic ignition yet but if it did have him reuse his stock dissy in the 1.8. The 85 had it

The 1.9 probably has a mechanical fuel pump near the distributor, as far as I know the 1.8s used electric fuel pumps (but maybe not your '76). You can modify the 1.8 to use the 1.9 pump (punch out the opening, add the drive cam, tap the mounting holes if needed) or add the wiring & relays to the 1.9 to use the electric pump. Also the 1.9 uses a different flywheel, swap it to the 1.8 to enable the use of the bigger 1.9 clutch. You may have to swap oil pans, the dipstick tube may be in the wrong place for the different truck (it was for my 1.8 to 1.9 swap). There is a slight but noticeable difference in power between the two engines (2.5% hp, 6.3% torque).
