 Post subject: transmissions

What is a good 5-speed transmission to put in a luv with a 350. Im just starting to work on my 76' but im still not sure on what kind of tranny to use. I also need some tips about the rear end and if i am gonna have to cut the fire wall or not. If you could write me back with some info on this then i would much appreciate it. Im real excited about building my truck but i have a whole bunch of questions about it. THANKS...

    what about a vett tranny? i dont know anything about V8s sucks :(

    Borg Warner T5 out of a Vette or Camaro will work but they are kind of weak. Consider a BW T56 6-speed out of a later model Vette or Camaro.
