Guys will a 78 chevette head bolt onto a 75 G180? What will I need to change? Thinking it might jump the compression. Any input would be great!

i think the chambers are the same size between the g180 and the g161, the g200 has a bigger chamber so a g180 or 161 head on a g200 block would have higher compression. im trying to find the cc's on ozgemini

If you do put a 161 head on it maybe find a 161 "High Output" model. From what I've read 1978 and up Chevy had an H.O. option that had a modified head that gave an increase of about 5 horses. Honestly, I would like to try one on my g200.
