There is a super clean one in the classifieds and if it can be converted I would really be interested.

Given enough money and time, you can "convert" it to a Lexus. In my opinion, such a conversion would cost way more than it's worth. If the body is great, you'd be better moving it to a 4wd frame than trying to convert the frame.

The easiest way would be to add a straight front axle (such as a Toyota) and a divorced transfer case- you can even keep the auto trans. My LUV started as a 2wd and works very well as a 4wd.
I agree that converting a 2wd to a stock IFS 4wd is simply not worth it.

Didn't even think of that! By all means, that would be the easiest way.

If it is super clean, please leave it 2wd. Nice luvs are an endangered species and way to many are getting destroyed by inept owners. Hold out for a 4x4

Yeah, chances are I will pass on this truck. I know that there is a small demand for them but the price he quoted me was way out of line. There is a 4x4 pretty close to the house that is nice but the owner says he is "fixin to start working on it". It has been that way for a good three years now. I'll catch him when he needs money at some point. Other than that if someone gets wind of a 4x let me know.
