Hey there, I know this has been tried to be asked before but no one seemed to respond... anyone out there know the stock width of the LUV rear end? How about the front end, wheel to wheel? If any of you have dimensions, I would really really appreciate it!

Wish I could help but I got rid of mine when I adapted the Dastun 300ZX Turbo rear end assembly to my LUV. (Four wheel independent suspension) Sure hope it works when I get the truck on the road!!! :D :D :D

from drum to drum its roughly 48". So from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface 52" sounds like it would be right.
As far as a 9" goes, call currie enterprises.

you can buy a 9" out of the pick ur part yard and see if there is anybody around in your area that can narrow the housing down, cut and respline the axles. (In San Diego we have a lot of Off road places and stuff like that.) I bought my 9" complete drum to drum for $125, paid 150 to have a local off road place narrow the housing and they sent my axles to currie for me and got them cut and resplined for $150/pair. Got a trac-lok 3.73 geared 3rd member out of the Recycler for $200 and bolted it all together. These days I would just skip the currie part and just buy some aftermarket alloy axles make to your measuements for $250 and slap them in there instead.
