Im trying to pull my rear end and its not working out too well. I have it almost pulled out it will pull about .300 out but it sucks it back in. What am i doing wrong do i need to pull my axels or something? Its a 78 luv 2wd btw.

If u cant get the yoke outta the tranny then unbolt a u joint i dnt

You do have to pull the axels out to get the carrier out. Pull the drums off and there are 4 bolts on the back of the backing plates to remove and the axles will pull out 3-4" to release the carrier.
