 Post subject: smog exhaust port plugs

does anyone know where to get plugs for the smog pump ports? or at least size and thread pattern, nobody has them nor knows how to get a plug that size around my area help would be greatly appreciated

If I remember correctly they are M14x1 thread found little elsewhere except spark plugs. Do a search. This is a frequent topic. I used Kwick Metal and some plugs that didn't quite fit.

Remove the rail by unscrewing the threaded fittings out of the head, cut each tube & slide the cut end out of the threaded end of the fitting. Tap the inside of each fitting for a bolt or plug that fits, screw the plug into the fitting, then screw the plugged fittings back into the head.
Use the same method to plug the EGR tube connector at each manifold if you want to remove it.

jus go to a parts store its only pipe thread ??????? cost me i believe 6 bucks for 4 plugs i believe there 3/8

I used oil drain plugs with the flange ground off.Of course they were the same thread and pitch as the ports!
