i have a 1980 4x4 luv and i was wondering is there a special trick to get the transfer case away from the transmission? i took all the bolts and nuts of but i can only get the transfer case to seperate about 1/8 of an inch

ill add photos later of one i have, err well theres two 4wd 4sp types.
i have bolth now, need to take photos for reference any way.
as well as photos of the rare MSG 4wd 5speeds

rear "should" come apart as one peace after the bolts are out,
front part has a snap ring holding it on under the front bearing retainer, it has to be out of the auto to get to it.
