after 1.8 performance tips options in sticky post....

After one has completed all of these upgrades what can we get rid of? I know I have seen several posts on this topic but I have never really seen a good answer. I think we need info in the 1.8 post or make a separate sticky.
For instance I have done just about all of these upgrades, MSD, Weber, OFFY, desmogged, headers, 5 spd , Pertronix…..
Now im getting a motor (spare) back from the machine shop it’s been cleaned up bored and all of that but I want to clean up the mess in my engine compartment. Witch of the crap tons of relays and BS can I take out? So after all of this what can I get rid of….
Just wanted to know if someone had done the work already and was willing to share? Otherwise, I’m going to start doing it step by step trial and error.
Thanks
OX

The one thing I did for a while when I was having trouble was re-wired my fuel pump. I was looking for a crash sensor of some type to put in the line in case of a wreck so it would kill the pump. I haven't found one yet but will get back on it soon. Life got busy. I'm also going to eventually go to a one wire alternator and get rid of the external regulator.

I agree, someone (maybe I should do it) should put together a thread with ALL this stuff in it to include how we did it and part numbers and crap like that. That way it would all be in one post.
