Alright I bought another 1980 4x4 LUV but it doesn't have a motor, trans, or front axle. It still has the hubs and everything else.

Now the question I have is would it be ok to drop an Lt1 in it with the front end missing the axle? Or would I need to get a set of 2wd spindles?

If I can just drop in the Lt1 and call it good that would be great otherwise I'll have to make a run to the junkyard. Any info would be helpful.

Also I already have an extra motor, trans, and I can get an axle but I would rather make it 2wd. Then I'll just sell the other stuff.

Just plug up the back of the 4wd hub, with a old cv(minus shaft) to keep the grease in and crud out and all will be fine. I have a parts rig that was driven that way for many years.

It does have a license plate so technically it is a street truck, that sets off car alarms and makes kids cry. lol
