I was just curious if any of you guys running a small block in a later-year Luv have to run a smog pump to pass the emmission test visual.
My 350 will pass the sniffer wonderfully, but I've been hassled before about how "the truck is supposed to be equipped with a smog pump." Even after I explain that the engine doesn't require one since it's from a '74 Nova they still tell me that it needs one.
So could someone help me get that damned smog pump out of my truck? Not that it hurts anything since it's gutted and just for looks, but still it annoys me and I'd like to be rid of it.
