I currently have done a V8 swap in a 79' LUV and I received a real good deal on a 4 speed muncie M-21 (for $125 just needs a rebuild). I also have the complete clutch linkage setup out of a 69’ V8 Chevy pickup – from the pedal linkage, the pivot bar, clutch fork linkage, bearing pivot arm and the bell housing (actually I have the complete three speed setup from the truck because I traded a trans-cooler for the bell housing and he gave me everything because he is putting a automatic in the truck so his wife can drive it). I am wondering if it would be easier to setup a manual linkage with the stock LUV pedals or go with a hydraulic throwout bearing. I do see the mounting point on the firewall for a hydraulic clutch but I have to drill out all the holes. But looking at where it is located I am not sure whether the power brake booster I am running will be in the way. It is a 8 inch booster from a Chevy because I am changing my brake set up to a 12 inch rotor in front (still trying to figure that one out) and 12 inch in the back in the back with a s10 10 bolt rearend, so I figured I had to have a brake booster rather than just a master cylinder. I am sorry this is so long winded but I know that there are a lot of people here much smarter on this than I am. If pictures are needed I will try to post some as needed.
