Can anyone tell me the width difference and spring pads difference between a 80 and a 81 LUV? Just want to know if a rear end out of a 80 will fit into a 81. Thanks,

Both should be the same 54" WMS to WMS. If you just need gears just exchange the 3rd members, lots easier than swapping the entire axle assembly.

Thank you for the information, I have a built 9' in my 78 stepside that I am stripping down, just wondered if it would fit into a 81, found out they are interchangeable, same width, same spring pads, looks like they are exactly alike.
